GWYTHAINT
THE WYVERN

Wyverns are relatives of the dragon, although they also seem to be more closely related to lizards. Like the dragon, wyverns are capable of flight, using their two wings. Wyverns are considerably smaller than dragons, however, standing only slightly taller than the average human. Perhaps their most distinct contrast to the dragon is their lack of front legs. Instead, wyverns possess small claws on the ends of their wings. Wyverns also do not possess the ability to breathe fire, and are anatomically more adapted for agility and avoidance rather than direct confrontations.
BIO
Gwythaints are wyverns with a blackish-purple coat, blood red eyes and razor sharp beak and talons. They serve the Horned King as his main minions, usually retrieving objects and people the Horned King requests for. Gwythaints are large, agile and powerful like birds of prey and terrorise any living creature it comes across. However, Gwythaints are not born evil. They were tortured and terrorised into servitude and are more than willing to escape their service of the Horned King when given the chance.
ABILITIES
PINPOINT EYESIGHT
Since wyverns attack by swooping from high in the sky, their eyesight is extremely sharp. They are able to spot and distinguish different insects from hundreds of metres up. This, coupled with their relatively small builds makes them able to spy or strike from the unseen.

TACTICIAN
Gwythaints do not possess many abilities and therefore must rely on their cunning and wit to overcome obstacles and outsmart foes. They are sly, and in groups they are able to come up with the most devious schemes and ambushes to bring down all that stand in their way.

NIMBLE FLIER
If dragons were the eagles of the skies then Gwythaints are the mosquitoes. Although not that much smaller than dragons, Gwythaints are much faster and far more superior in agility. Their unparalleled mobility makes them untouchable and they will make use of this to flit in and around any foe until they find the perfect opportunity to move in for the kill.
